Quirkle, ham dinner & hay!

Our newest fun. I suppose the picture has all seriousness, but we laughed and had fun for far more of the time. But, near the end of the game, everyone looks for those last, best point moves and we do have to concentrate a bit ... and help each other out.

This Sunday afternoon respite followed Neal & Deb's (and her Mom's) DELICIOUS ham dinner, with all our favorite sides: cheesy potato casserole, roasted asparagus, sweet petite peas, homemade applesauce and cranberry relish and Ashley's apple pie a la mode for dessert.

Energized and lacking any other opportunity, we picked up 113 bales of hay (in two trips) and put them all away by about 9 pm. Good until the first cut, this summer. But, oh our aching muscles!
