Richmond weekend

The first weekend of June was a rainy weekend, but we still managed some outdoor work, fun and campfires. We hooked up Grammie & Grampa's camper for it's trip over the border, packed overnight bags and pillows and started north by mid-morning, arriving just past noon. Ashley helped in the Ladies downstairs dorm, Hannah was a runner for the kitchen, I helped with dining tent prep work and Todd helped raise the meeting tent, in between rain showers. The lilac bushes had a recent trimming, so there were plenty of flowers to "play" with.
Sunday morning meeting was French & English, 17 attending, followed by a quickly assembled dinner (with the help of and shared with everyone) of chicken legs, rice, fresh broccoli, green beans and fruit pies with ice cream for dessert. After a speedy cleanup, with many helping hands, we were ready to enjoy a restful afternoon. The breeze blew and the air was cool, just right for napping! A lovely day. Monday's a school day, so we had to leave earlier than we really wanted to ... but, we have the anticipation of returning soon to keep us smiling.
